I have been painting and teaching art professionally for over 25 years. My award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries and juried shows nationally. I am a Signature member of the National and the Northwest Watercolor Societies. I am also a Past President of NWWS and Women Painters of Washington. In 2000 my painting entry won the NWS Silver Star Award, the top award in the National Watercolor Society's annual juried show.

I am also the author of a number of magazine articles about the creative process in painting. My writing and paintings have been featured in such publications as The Artist's Magazine, Watercolor Magic, and The Artist's Sketchbook.

I am an experienced show juror and workshop presenter.

I graduated with honors from the University of California at Berkeley with a degree in psychology, minoring in zoology. I also have a JD degree from Seattle University School of Law. I believe that my studies and interest in a variety of areas have deepened my appreciation for and understanding of the creative process in general and painting in particular.
